If My Spouse and I Know What We Want To Do With Our Divorce, Can You Just Write It Up For Me?
Peter encourages parties to become informed about their rights and to work together to resolve all issues. If you reach a complete settlement with your spouse, Peter can draft the legal documents necessary for you to complete your divorce. Generally, however, during a divorce, there is an exchange of information, which is called “discovery.” Obtaining that information is part of a lawyer’s job, so that he or she can help you obtain a fair result. If Peter’s job is limited to just drafting your settlement, he will not be able advise you whether the agreement you reached is fair.
